Hadith of the Day

Narrated By Ibn ‘Umar: Allah’s Apostle said, “Amongst the trees, there is a tree, the leaves of which do not fall and is like a Muslim. Tell me the name of that tree.” Everybody started thinking about the trees of the desert areas. And I thought of the date-palm tree but felt shy to answer. The others then asked, “What is that tree, O Allah’s Apostle?” He replied, “It is the date-palm tree.” (Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 3, Hadith 61)

İbn Ömer’den rivayet edilmiştir: Allah’ın Elçisi şöyle buyurdu: “Ağaçlar arasında, yaprakları dökülmeyen ve Müslümana benzeyen bir ağaç vardır. O ağacın hangisi olduğunu söyleyin.” Herkes çöl ağaçlarını düşünmeye başladı. Ben hurma ağacını düşündüm ama söylemeye utandım. Sonra diğerleri, “Ey Allah’ın Elçisi, o ağaç nedir?” diye sordular. O da “O hurma ağacıdır” buyurdu.

Rapporté par Ibn ‘Umar : Le Messager d’Allah a dit : « Parmi les arbres, il y a un arbre dont les feuilles ne tombent pas, et il ressemble à un musulman. Dites-moi quel est cet arbre. » Tout le monde a commencé à penser aux arbres des régions désertiques. J’ai pensé au palmier dattier, mais j’avais honte de le dire. Ensuite, ils ont demandé : « Quel est cet arbre, ô Messager d’Allah ? » Il répondit : « C’est le palmier dattier. »

Diriwayatkan oleh Ibnu Umar: Rasulullah bersabda, “Di antara pepohonan, ada sebuah pohon yang daunnya tidak gugur dan pohon itu seperti seorang Muslim. Katakan padaku nama pohon itu.” Semua orang mulai menebak-nebak pohon yang tumbuh di daerah gurun. Aku berpikir itu adalah pohon kurma, tapi aku malu untuk mengatakannya. Lalu mereka bertanya, “Wahai Rasulullah, pohon apakah itu?” Beliau menjawab, “Itu adalah pohon kurma.”
